CORKERY – It was a very long time coming, but that’s ancient history now, and last Saturday (May 30), it seemed like the entire Corkery community came out to celebrate the official opening of the newly renovated and expanded Corkery Community Centre.
FITZROY HARBOUR – For Constance Bay’s Mackenzie Aldis musical theatre is a passion. So much so, she’s leading a group of actors and volunteers through the massive undertaking of bringing Bethel-St. Andrew’s United Church’s first musical stage production to life.
NEPEAN – It was an all-ages party atmosphere for Dunrobin resident Alex Lawson’s Rally for Ottawa, his first official campaign event as he begins his quest to become Ottawa’s next mayor Oct. 26.
STITTSVILLE – Focus Eye Centre, one of the oldest Laser Vision Correction providers in eastern Ontario, is opening a new clinic at 750 Palladium Dr., Suite 102 on June 1, bringing much of its patient care closer to home for residents of western Ottawa.
DUNROBIN – Every year the Dunrobin Fashion Show gets a little bigger, the models get a little bolder and everyone involved learns a little more about the value of altruism.
KINBURN – Last Friday (May 29), the month-long West Carleton Senior Games held their customary banquet and 60 or so participants learned attendance to the Olympic Games-like competition returned to form in 2026.
DUNROBIN – The Tournament of Champions is a long-standing favourite school year event of West Carleton Secondary School (WCSS) students.
