Maurice “Moe” passed away at his beloved cottage Friday morning, July 13, 2018 with the love of his family by his side. Maurice Bertrand of Arnprior at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Mitzi (nee Fulford).  Loving and proud father of Lori Currie (Neil), Michael (Dawn Harvey) and Jill Bisson (Pascal).  Most cherished grandfather of Alison Currie (James), Alex Currie (Chanelle) and Rebecca Bisson.  Dear brother of Doreen Gleeson (late Mike).  Predeceased by brothers Gerald (Late Theresa) and Donat (Theresa).  Son of the late Jules and Exilda (Jolicoeur) Bertrand.  Being community and sports-minded, Maurice was involved with area service clubs including the Knights of Columbus, Arnprior Optimist Club and Arnprior Junior B Packers Hockey Team. He also was known for his love and passion for music, always reaching for a higher decibel.  His friendly, lighthearted spirit will be missed by his family and friends.  Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior.  Cremation to take place.  As per Maurice’s wishes, there will not be a formal visitation or funeral service.  A graveside service will take place at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery at a later date. A donation in memory of Maurice can be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
