Jean-Paul Jalbert,

1944 ~ 2021 (age 77)

We are incredibly saddened to announce that JP passed away peacefully in hospital with family by his side on June 10, 2021 at 77 years of age. Devoted husband and companion of over 51 years to Gabrielle. Loving father to Nancy (Dwight) and Dan (Sue). Proud grandpapa to Emilie. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Marie and Nicole (Jacques) and brother Leopold (Monique).  Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Adrienne Jalbert and his brother Carol.

Those who knew JP also knew his ultimate passion was flying. He loved his Cessna and when he was not in the skies, he could often be found working at his hangar. He and Gaby enjoyed countless weekend flights to have breakfast with friends and visit little towns for some shopping. When not at the airport, he enjoyed sitting out in his backyard, having a beer and watching planes come and go from the Carp airport.

JP will be fondly remembered as a generous man and, despite a tough exterior, a compassionate one as well. He had an especially soft spot for animals which was evident whenever he was in the company of one.  

Respecting JP’s wishes, no funeral service will be held, and cremation has taken place.
