We sadly announce the passing of Glenda Cheryl Wallace, age 71, on November 28, 2025, in Calgary, AB. Born in Ottawa, ON, Glenda (née Rivington) lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family and friends.
Glenda was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Wallace, her sister, Nancy Wolfenden, and her parents, Glenn and Olive Rivington. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jason Wallace (Brittany), her daughter, Nichola Wallace (Dylan), her sisters, Elaine Argue (Frank) and Betty Rivington, her brother, Brian Rivington (Jill), as well as extended family and friends.
She worked for many years as a bank teller, where her friendly smile and caring nature touched the lives of countless customers and colleagues. Outside of work, she found joy in traveling, caring for her cherished pugs, and sharing good wine with loved ones.
A service to celebrate Glenda’s life will be held at St. James the Apostle Anglican Church (3774 Carp Rd, Ottawa, ON) on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. For those wishing to share tributes or to be notified when service details are available, a link will be provided shortly.
In lieu of flowers, Glenda supported CUPS Health & Education Centres, The Mustard Seed, Women in Need Society (WINS), the War Amps, various hospice centres, and the St. James Anglican Church and Cemetery in Carp, Ontario—where she will be laid to rest.
Glenda will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
