Elizabeth Ella (Mordy) McGee

DECEMBER 20, 1918 ~ MAY 13, 2019 (AGE 100)

It is with sadness and loss that we announce the passing of our much loved family matriarch, Ella, on Monday, May 13, 2019 in 101st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Winston in 1986 and her eldest son Wayne in 2013. Devoted mother of Diane (Keith) Barr, Brian (Sylvia) McGee and Myrna McGee. Proud and treasured grandmother of Corri (Corey Dvorkin) Barr, Tricia (Craig) Goth, Chris (Martine) McGee, Lindsay McGee and Todd McGee. Great-grandma Ella to Vanessa, Natassia, Petra, Lance, Evelyn and Liam. Dear sister of Ruth Love. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. With respect and admiration, the family extends gratitude to the staff of Granite Ridge for their kindness and consideration. Ella was a very active partner with her husband Winston on their family farm near Carp. She was also very actively involved with her community. She was an avid gardener and will be forever remembered for her endless supply of delicious home baking, canning, preserving and her skills of knitting, crocheting, quilting, playing euchre and her passion for playing Bridge.
