Connor McArthur
As of a result of a tragic accident in Mont Tremblant, Connor left this world in peace (July 2, 2018), without suffering, but his spirit lives with us and always will.
During his short 19 years, Connor touched so many hearts with his positive personality and infectious smile. He is a light and will be shining from the heavens and seen in every rainbow. Connor would want to be remembered with love and laughter.
Born in Ottawa, Connor grew up in Carleton Place, Perth and area. He will be missed until met again by his father Kevin McArthur, mother Lise Michalow, brother Jake McArthur, grandmother Trudy Michalow; Aunt Lorelei (nee Michalow) and Uncle Randy Sawchuk, cousin Alek Sawchuk; Aunt Kelly McArthur and Uncle George Campbell, cousins Taylor and Daniel Campbell; Aunt Kerri McArthur and cousins Mackenzie and Parker Rafuse; Aunt Christina (nee Michalow) and Uncle Brian Laidlaw and cousins Cora and James Laidlaw.
Connor leaves behind many friends and family and friends that are family.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave. Carleton Place on Sunday, July 8th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 9th from 12:00-2:00 p.m, with the funeral taking place at 2:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carleton Place Minor Hockey Association, to help families that cannot afford to have their kids participate in a sport and community that has been a very large part of our lives.
Always thinking of others and wise beyond his years, at 16, when he got his driver’s license he openly talked with his family and signed his organ donation form. Connor’s wishes were honoured when his organs were donated allowing the gift of life to many others. As difficult as it may be, please talk with your families and consider beAdonor.ca.
