WEST CARLETON – Treat your birds like the royalty they are with an original, handmade birdfeeder being drawn away in a fundraiser supporting Arnprior Special Olympics.
“Arnprior Special Olympics is having a birdfeeder raffle to help raise money for new equipment, tournament fees and traveling expenses,” Special Olympics volunteer Catherine Buffam-Jensen released in a statement Wednesday (Aug. 25). “The bird feeder was all hand made and donated by a wonderful friend of mine and took about 300 hours in total to make.”
The beautiful cottage-inspired birdfeeder is three feet by two feet with multiple feeding areas. The birdfeeder is made from western red cedar by Cecil Cybulski of Round Lake, ON. It is valued at more than $600.
Tickets are two for $10 or five for $20. Arrangements can be made for ticket drop-off to some locations.
Tickets can be purchased by eTransfer to cathysmathy@icloud.com.
Please provide a name and telephone number in the message section of the eTransfer.
The draw will be held Sept. 1 at 1 p.m.
“Thank you in advance for your generosity from myself and Arnprior Special Olympics,” Buffam-Jensen said.
