Kanata Seniors Council Health Fair Oct. 19

KANATA – The Kanata Seniors Council is hosting a health fair Oct. 19 with the opportunity for participants to take a number of different screenings.
The Kanata Seniors Council Health Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Kanata Seniors Centre (2500 Campeau Dr.) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Come to the council’s Health Fair and explore new ways to improve your physical and mental health,” volunteer organizers released in a statement Oct. 2.
The event will provide opportunities for free screenings for things like heart valve disease, medication safety, mental health, keeping fit and other community health resources as well as clinics for blood pressure, foot care and hearing.
Clinics require an appointment, and you can do so at the front desk phone at 613-580-2980.
Funding for the event was provided by the Ontario government as well as sponsors such as Brookside Senior Living, Ottawa Hears, Solva Senior Living, The Bradley, Waterfront Grand, Wellings of Stittsville, Wildpine, All Seniors Moving, Carp Commons, Freiheit Home Car, Lifeline Canada, Red Oak, Robertson House, Timberwalk and Ideal Caregivers 4u.
