Greensmere junior golf academy ready for the season

CORKERY – The Greensmere Golf and Country Club’s Junior Golf Academy is the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to a sport that can be enjoyed their entire life.

The Greensmere Junior Golf Academy is for boys and girls aged 10 to 15 of all golfing skill levels.

“This camp is a full day junior player development camp,” Greensmere’s golf instructors released in a statement. “Participants learn to play golf through skill development training stations and on course play at Greensmere.”

There are three weeks to choose from for the academy including July 10 to 14, July 24 to 28 and Aug. 14 to 18. Each day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“The goal of Greensmere Junior golf programs is to introduce young athletes to the great game of golf in a fun, informative and safe learning environment,” Greensmere said. “We clearly understand the developmental stages of children and we have designed our programs accordingly. The junior academy offers progressive social and competitive programs for all ages and abilities, while focusing on the fundamentals of golf, athletic development and building positive self-esteem.  Not many sports place such an emphasis on honesty, integrity, camaraderie and other essential life skills the way the game of golf, so wonderfully does. We take pride in providing a professional, fun and friendly environment for the junior golfer to discover the game through private lessons, camps and group programs.”
