WEST CARLETON – Softball blogger and Fitzroy Harbour fastball legend Adam Brown is reporting the Greater Ottawa Fastball League (GOFL) is expected to return to action this summer following a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
“The GOFL plans on returning for the 2021 season after a league meeting on Thursday (June 17),” Brown reported in his Eastern Ontario Fastball Blog, last Friday (June 18). “Six teams have declared their intention to play a ten-game season, projected to begin in mid-July.”
Returning teams are the West Carleton Electric, Ottawa Valley As, Micksburg Twins, Kars Aces, Manotick Brewers (former I4C Victory) and Orleans Rebels. Stittsville 56ers and Quyon Flyers won’t be playing this year.
Brown says more information is expected to be released soon, including the schedule.
Brown’s long-running blog is dedicated to news about the Greater Ottawa Fastball League and other happenings in the world of fastball/fastpitch softball in eastern Ontario and western Quebec.
