Friends of the Carp Hills AGM and Public Meeting

March 25, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Friends of the Carp Hills are holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 25 March at 7 pm at the Carp Memorial Hall, 3739 Carp Road.  It will be immediately followed by a public briefing where they will talk about activities and plans for 2020+.  The meeting is open to the public, but only members in good standing can vote on the budget and the slate of directors.

After a short break, at approximately 8pm, guest speaker Holly Bickerton, Consulting Ecologist returns to talk about the the trail impact study she recently completed on the Carp Barrens, one of the most ecologically significant and unique areas in Ottawa.  She will speak about what she discovered including species at risk nesting birds and turtles and a fen with regionally rare plants, one found only in the Carp Hills.  Join us to find out what’s happening, provide feedback, and find out how you can help.  As a community organization we rely on your support and involvement.
