Friends of the Carp Hills AGM

March 27 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Our guest speaker is Ian Badgley on Pre-contact Archaeology of the Carp Ridge.

  • 6:30 p.m. – Doors open.  Come early to get your door prize tickets and view a display by local artists of Art in the Hills.
  • 7:00 p.m. – Annual General Meeting.  The public is welcome to attend, but only members can vote.  We will review last year’s activities, our future plans, and elect board directors.
  • 7:45 p.m. – Break.
  • 8:00 p.m. – Our guest speaker is archaeologist Ian Badgley who will make a presentation on Pre-contact Archaeology of the Carp Ridge.

Non-members are asked to donate $5 to help with costs.

Following our AGM, we are pleased to have as our guest speaker archaeologist Ian Badgley who will talk about the pre-contact archaeological evidence for human occupation on the Carp Ridge extending from Richardson Side Road in Kanata to Fitzroy Harbour.  Ian retired as the Manager of the National Capital Commission’s Archaeology Program in August 2024.
