Art pop-up fundraiser for Parkinsons Canada SuperWalk
August 20 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Artist Dianne Bramble of Corkery and friends will have many pieces of her work for sale as well as some of her published books at 416 Donald B. Munro Dr. (the former Moonstones Gallery). She also hopes to have some art from other artists dealing with Parkinson’s.
“All funds raised will go towards my SuperWalk campaign,” Bramble said.
So far this SuperWalk season, Bramble has raised $2,421 for research, nearly half of her $5,000 goal.
“Parkinson’s runs in my family, so this walk is important to me for many reasons,” Bramble said. “My mom’s father had Parkinson’s, as do several of her cousins. One of her cousins died two years ago from complications of the disease. I would like to see a cure, not so much for me, but for my children who may be at risk of developing this disease. This will be my ninth walk and I hope I do as well as I did last year. I raised more than $6,000 last year, so lets see how it goes.
