CARP – Wine, cheese and a fitness park.
The Carp Health Access committee is still hard at it, raising funds for a proposed outdoor fitness park.
The next fundraising event for the Carp Fitness Park will be a Wine and Cheese at the Huntley Curling Club on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
“It’s going to be a laid-back wine and cheese from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.,” CHA Chair Tara Azulay said. “We’ll do a short presentation and bring folks up to speed on the what-why-when and then, weather permitting, we’ll walk across the street to the actual location.”
Register here to attend.
Since fundraising began on the fitness park Carp Health Access has raised $16,541 of the required $38,000 to get the park built.
The City of Ottawa has already agreed to match these funds and then undertake the installation of the equipment.
If you are an individual or a business who would like to donate, click here. Donors of $1,000 or more will receive recognition on a plaque at the site of the park, as well as a plaque they can display in their home or office, and recognition on the CHA website and social media pages.
