CARP – Carp will once again host a national fast pitch championship as the Carp Fairgrounds continues to become well known to Canada’s best fastball players.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen finished the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) regular season on the road, working hard to guarantee themselves a home game in the opening round of the 2024 playoffs.

OTTAWA – A ski cross competitor and a softball player were honoured with 2023 Ottawa Sports Awards following the final announcement of this year’s recipients released yesterday (Feb. 1).

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen (6-9-1) ended the first period of Saturday’s (Jan. 20) Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) game with a 2-1 lead against the powerhouse South Stormont Mustangs (13-4-0).

NAKISKA, AB – Dunrobin native Hannah Schmidt won the women’s big final in the World Cup ski cross series on home snow today (Jan. 20) Nakiska, AB.

ARNPRIOR – It’s been a rollercoaster of a regular season for the Arnprior Rivermen, but assistant coach and Corkery resident Douglas Twining says the team is ready to finish the season strong and book their ticket for a long playoff run.

WEST CARLETON – With the West Carleton Outdoor Hockey League (WCOHL) still waiting for winter weather, volunteer convenors have extended the registration period to the end of this week (Jan. 7).

AROSA, SWITZERLAND – Dunrobin native Jared Schmidt won back-to-back World Cup gold yesterday (Dec. 12) and his big sister Hannah joined him on the podium winning her first ever gold on the World Cup ski cross circuit.
