CARP – The ladies have been playing broomball in the Carp arena since the day it opened in 1983, and they were playing it outdoors in West Carleton long before that.

ARNPRIOR – Despite being seeded higher than the South Grenville Rangers in the first round of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) playoffs, the Arnprior Rivermen just couldn’t find a way to beat them this season and were ousted from the playoffs yesterday (Feb. 19).

CARP – Carp will once again host a national fast pitch championship as the Carp Fairgrounds continues to become well known to Canada’s best fastball players.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen finished the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) regular season on the road, working hard to guarantee themselves a home game in the opening round of the 2024 playoffs.

OTTAWA – A ski cross competitor and a softball player were honoured with 2023 Ottawa Sports Awards following the final announcement of this year’s recipients released yesterday (Feb. 1).

ARNPRIOR – A big 7-3 win last Saturday (Jan. 27), has clinched a playoff spot for the Arnprior Rivermen who can still climb the ladder a bit more and perhaps secure a more favourable first-round match up in the East Division.

OTTAWA – Atlético Ottawa’s newest addition Kris Twardek got his start playing soccer in West Carleton before travelling the world thanks to his football skill.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen (6-9-1) ended the first period of Saturday’s (Jan. 20) Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) game with a 2-1 lead against the powerhouse South Stormont Mustangs (13-4-0).
