CARLETON PLACE – Kinburn’s Finn Barton is making the most of his first year playing Junior A hockey for the Canadians.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen (2-5-0) started the 2024-2025 Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) with a tough win on the road, followed by a rough 1-5 streak, but assistant coach Doug Fiebig says the team has the talent and skill to finish the year strong and start a run for the playoffs in 2025.

NEPEAN – The West Carleton U12 Wolverines advanced to the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) Championship Saturday (Oct. 26) and will battle for the league championship and an unprecedented undefeated season Nov. 3 during NCAFA Championship Weekend.

CARP – Organizers had to trick 25-year club president Andy McArdle in to thinking there was work to do to get him to the West Carleton Amateur Sports Club (WCASC) Wednesday (Oct. 16) evening, before surprising him with a celebration in his honour as the long-running volunteer leaves his position with the West Carleton Wolverines Football Club.

DUNROBIN – Thanksgiving weekend marked the end of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) regular season and the West Carleton Wolverines U12 team pulled off something no Wolverine team has done before – go undefeated.

RICHMOND – The West Carleton Secondary School (WCSS) Wolves girls have started the season off strong.

PRESCOTT – The Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) kicked off its fifth season last weekend (Sept. 27) and Original Four team, the Arnprior Rivermen, kicked off their season with a win.

DUNROBIN – Sports at West Carleton Secondary School (WCSS) have finally started.

ARNPRIOR – Arnprior’s Perry Freda added his name to the Madawaska Golf Club Men’s Championship trophy for a 13th time overcoming strong, gusty winds during the two-day Labour Day weekend tournament.
