CARP – The Huntley Curling Club’s (HCC) Team Frlan is so good at curling they’ve qualified for two Ontario provincial championships this season.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen are on their hottest streak of the season winning three games in a row, racing up the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) standings and looking for win number four this Saturday (Dec. 21) hosting the Pontiac Senior Comets at the Nick Smith Centre.

DUNROBIN – The West Carleton Secondary School (WCSS) Wolves have done it again; the boys AAA volleyball team has qualified for the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) as Ottawa’s representatives for the first time in more than 10 years.

DUNROBIN – PGA Tour Americas has announced dates for the third annual Commissionaires Ottawa Open golf tournament, a PGA Tour-sanctioned professional golf tournament and official Fortinet Cup event, at Eagle Creek Golf Course from July 21 to July 27, 2025. 

CARLETON PLACE – Kinburn’s Finn Barton is making the most of his first year playing Junior A hockey for the Canadians.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen (2-5-0) started the 2024-2025 Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) with a tough win on the road, followed by a rough 1-5 streak, but assistant coach Doug Fiebig says the team has the talent and skill to finish the year strong and start a run for the playoffs in 2025.

NEPEAN – If you have only one loss in a season, in retrospect you probably don’t want it to be the last game of the season.

NEPEAN – The West Carleton U12 Wolverines advanced to the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) Championship Saturday (Oct. 26) and will battle for the league championship and an unprecedented undefeated season Nov. 3 during NCAFA Championship Weekend.

CARP – Organizers had to trick 25-year club president Andy McArdle in to thinking there was work to do to get him to the West Carleton Amateur Sports Club (WCASC) Wednesday (Oct. 16) evening, before surprising him with a celebration in his honour as the long-running volunteer leaves his position with the West Carleton Wolverines Football Club.
