BRAESIDE – Braeside’s Kaden McGregor was selected first overall in the 2025 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection Draft earlier this evening (April 11).

BOSTON – Fitzroy Harbour native Logan Forgie’s golden arm has taken him all over the country, around the world, and now to Boston where he pitches for the Lawrence Academy Spartans looking for a shot at the big leagues.

DUNROBIN – This summer the third Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour Americas’ Commissionaires Open touches down at Eagle Creek Golf Club this July and both tickets and volunteer opportunities are now available.

CARLETON PLACE – A leader in his first year playing Junior A hockey for the Carleton Place Canadians, Kinburn’s Finn Barton was named the Central Canada Hockey League’s (CCHL) 2024-2025 Top Rookie.

OTTAWA – The University of Ottawa Gee-Gees men’s hockey team are University Cup champions, and a Carp native helped make the historic run happen.

SUMMERSIDE – The Huntley Curling Club’s amazing women’s U18 team, Team Frlan, is on their way to Prince Edward Island for another crack at a national championship.

DUNROBIN – Dunrobin Shore’s Caily-Grace Lemmex, 15, has done it again, winning the Canadian Snowboard Cross Jr. National Championship this month, capping off an incredible season for the young athlete.

SASKATOON – Huntley Curling Club’s Team Frlan is coming back to Carp as the third best U18 women’s curling team in Canada.

CARP – Last Saturday (Feb. 22) the country celebrated Curling Day in Canada, and at the Huntley Curling Club, that meant participating in Canada’s Big Shootout and a free Give Curling a Try community workshop.

ARNPRIOR – Last Friday (Feb. 21) the Arnprior Rivermen advanced to round two of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League (EOSHL) playoffs, and less than 24 hours later played their first game of the second round against the North Dundas Rockets.
