SYRACUSE, NY – Carp’s Joe Carroll has turned a professional tryout in to a two-year contract with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Rivermen spent November as road warriors, chipping away at the lead of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League East Division leaders going 3-1 in their last four games and making up some ground after a tough start to the 2022-2023 season.

DUNROBIN – The Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour released the PGA Tour Americas 2024 schedule, and the world’s best young golfers are set to return to the Eagle Creek Golf and Country Club from July 25 to July 28.

WEST CARLETON – Long time West Carleton Wolverines Football Club President Andy McArdle of Kinburn will be inducted to the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) Hall of Fame.

ASHTON – Considered the oldest drag hunt in North America, the Ottawa Valley Hunt Club celebrated its 150th anniversary Oct. 20 weekend and more than 100 members and their steeds took part in the sesquicentennial hunts.

DUNROBIN – It was a defensive battle in the last game of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) regular season and a win would put the West Carleton Wolverines mosquito division team in the playoffs.

ARNPRIOR – The Arnprior Packers are in the middle of the pack in the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) Richardson Division (Junior B) through the quarter-turn of the regular season.

FITZROY HARBOUR – Fitzroy Harbour’s Conner Hopper took a unique path on his way to making Team Canada’s roster earlier this month for the U18 Men’s Softball World Cup, one that took a lot of personal discipline to achieve.
