FITZROY HARBOUR – After an hour of picking up garbage from the shoreline of nearby Fitzroy Provincial Park, the students of St. Michael’s Catholic School, Fitzroy Harbour brought home pounds of trash and a couple of things for the playground.

WEST CARLETON – Nearly two months after the start of the school year, West Carleton parents are still scrambling to get their kids to school, and in some cases, can’t even get their kids to school.

DUNROBIN – It was a new craft market in a new location, but organizers of the West Carleton Secondary School Makers’ Market say a whole bunch of people were able to find them Saturday, Oct. 14.

WEST CARLETON – The Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA) says they made gains in the current school bus shortage which has led to the cancellation of dozens of routes across Ottawa and denied hundreds of students in West Carleton public transportation to school, but Ward 5 Coun. Clarke Kelly says it isn’t enough for those parents who still have to rearrange their workdays to make sure their kids get to school.

KINBURN – Long-time Stonecrest parents say they’ve seen nothing like it before, snarled in traffic trying to drop their children off for the first day of school today (Sept. 5) amidst busing issues plaguing the Ottawa school boards.

WEST CARLETON – School is less than a week away and West Carleon students aren’t worried about what they are going to wear on the first day of school, they’re wondering how they’re going to get there.

DUNROBIN – During last week’s (June 27) West Carleton Secondary School (WCSS) graduation ceremony, the West Carleton Art Society (WCAS) made sure a couple of talented graduating artists had some money in their pocket to go back to school with.

KINBURN – Last week (June 26), Stonecrest Elementary School graduates celebrated a future so bright, they had to wear shades.

KINBURN – Last Wednesday (June 13), Stonecrest Elementary School hosted its largest event of the year, a summer so-long party for students and parents alike, and raised more than $4,300 for new play structure equipment.

FITZROY HARBOUR – On Friday, May 26, the students of St. Michael’s Catholic School Fitzroy Harbour were absolute monsters.
