WEST CARLETON – While communities such as Fitzroy Harbour and Constance Bay celebrated Hallowe’en over the weekend (and we’ll have words and photos from both those events eventually), there are still some hot spots to hit in West Carleton on the actual day (Oct. 31) of haunting.

CONSTANCE BAY – It was a night of laughter, music and dance, fitting themes for the Rural Root Theatre Company’s 20th anniversary celebration held in El-Chantiry Hall Saturday (Oct. 19) evening.

CARP – It was a beautiful day and a busy one, as the West Carleton Art Society’s (WCAS) juried Expressions of Art show was another reason to come to the Carp Fairgrounds over Thanksgiving Weekend.

GALETTA – The biggest sale in Galetta is this weekend, and its just one massive event in a weekend full of them in West Carleton.

CARP – For guests of the first Wild Brunch held at the Carp Mess Hall Sunday (Oct. 6), it was a meal fit for a king, found in the forest.

CONSTANCE BAY – Bud the Stud is coming to the Bay Nov. 5, so ladies, guard’s up.

CARP – Perfect weather and an endless choice of things to do made the 161st Carp Fair a huge hit all weekend long.

CARP – The 2024 Diefenbunker Speaker Series debuted Thursday, Sept. 12, 75 feet underground with three Canadian female warriors talking about their role in the military and Canada’s military’s role on the world stage.

CARP – Orange Shirt Day has been celebrated in Canada since 2013. Last year a National Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony was held in Carp for the first time.

CARLETON PLACE – Earlier this year when Arts Carleton Place (ACP), a non-profit art organization, decided to look for gallery space it wasn’t long before they found the perfect spot.
