CONSTANCE BAY – West Carleton Disaster Relief (WCDR) and the Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) are once again teaming up to help rebuild a home destroyed by flooding.

CARP – Last year, the Carp Classic open curling bonspiel made its return to the community after more than 15 years away.

KINBURN – Tomorrow (Jan. 8), Kinburn’s Gladys Barr will turn 100-years-old.

KINBURN – Last Saturday (Dec. 14) friends, family and community gathered at the Kinburn Community Centre to celebrate lifelong community member Clem Smith, and in return Clem gave a heartfelt thank you to those who came to his aid to help him recover from a devastating barn fire on Oct. 28.

WEST CARLETON – West Carleton students did the making and Coun. Clarke Kelly did the delivering, making sure West Carleton’s seniors get Christmas cards this holiday season.

WEST CARLETON – While every day feels like Christmas in West Carleton, last weekend was especially Christmassy, with holiday themed events every day across Ward 5 including three Santa Claus parades on Saturday.

DUNROBIN – Last Sunday (Dec. 1) the volunteers of St. Mary’s Anglican Church hosted a winter clothing drive, and the congregation and community showed up to make sure those struggling in the community will be able to stay warm this winter.

KINBURN – The work is done and now it’s time to celebrate Clem Smith and all those who helped him get his property cleaned up after a devastating fire in October.

DUNROBIN – Each year, Dunrobin’s community Christmas tree gets a little bit bigger, and every year for the last eight, the decorating and lighting of it is a beacon the holiday season has arrived.

KINBURN – When Clem Smith’s barn burned down on Oct. 28 it wasn’t just a loss for him, but the whole community.
