CARP – Last Saturday (May 10), the wait was finally over for local syrup lovers who flocked to downtown Carp to pick up their Scouts-branded maple syrup.

KINBURN – Although springtime has finally arrived in West Carleton, the City of Ottawa is asking residents to wait a little bit longer to before lighting up the first campfire of the season.

CONSTANCE BAY – Despite the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) issuing a flood warning late last week (May 1), a drive through Constance Bay Saturday (May 3) afternoon, including many of the most flood prone areas in the community, seemed downright tranquil.

DUNROBIN – After more than a year of crickets, the Dunrobin plaza is now a very busy place.

CARP – Last week (April 8), roughly 30 people gathered around a communal table filled with great recipes made with local food to share in potluck style, and following dinner plotted to save the world.

PAKENHAM – About 70 farmers and people association with the local agriculture industry gathered in Pakenham for breakfast April 3, and with the current political situation, they had a lot on their plate.

CARP – It was the first federal all-candidates debate for West Carleton voters to feature all four major party candidates since 2021 (and that one was online) and it was a welcome return to the democratic process the community expects, and quite frankly, deserves.

KINBURN – The Snow Moles came to Kinburn last week (April 1) for a scurry around the community and in terms of walkability, there were some highs and lows found in the village.
