WEST CARLETON – With Hallowe’en on a weekday this year, dozens of volunteers were sure to make last weekend was spooky in West Carleton.

WEST CARLETON – The 49th edition of the Red Trillium Studio Tour (RTST) was a tour of fall colours throughout West Carleton both inside and outside the artists’ studios on the tour.

CORKERY – One look at the Corkery Community Centre expansion on Old Almonte Road, and you can tell there’s still a long way to go.

CONSTANCE BAY – The Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada (SARVAC) returned to Constance Bay all day Saturday (Oct. 5), but this time it was only a drill.

DUNROBIN – Last week (Sept. 27) the City of Ottawa announced throughout October, Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) will be distributing free reflective bands and lights at select fire stations across the city as part of its annual Be Safe Be Seen campaign.

CARP – The stories were filled with tragedy and heartbreak, but even then, the message of the second annual Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony held in Carp yesterday (Sept. 30) was one of hope.

CARP – The 161st Carp Fair is just two days away, and the Carp Fairgrounds are busy with hundreds of volunteers working long days to make sure everything is picture perfect for The Best Little Fair in Canada.

KINBURN – A popular pre-COVID community event returned to Kinburn last week (Sept. 14) when the Kinburn Community Association (KCA) brought back the Kinburn Community Corn Roast.

CARP – Last Wednesday (Sept. 11) the Huntley Friendship Club celebrated their 50th anniversary like it might be their last.

ARNPRIOR – It was a rare siting indeed last Saturday (Sept. 7), when roughly 100 members of the Macnamara Field Naturalists’ Club (MFNC) were found indoors, as the club celebrated its 40th anniversary.
