DUNROBIN – For the first time in a long time, there was a community party to attend in Dunrobin after dark last Saturday (Sept. 13) night.

TATLOCK – In 1955, Lanark native Archie Guthrie bought his neighbour’s Darling Township farm unaware he had just acquired 1.2 billion years of geological history.

CARP – With the Carp Fair only weeks ago, the 4-H Swine Club is pretty busy getting ready for the big auction, but not so busy they don’t have time to bake several hundred cookies for charity.

WILLOLA BEACH – For 20 years the Willola Beach community has gathered for a barbecue at the Campbell house for a community get together that also celebrates a pivotal moment in Willola Beach’s recent history.

DUNROBIN – On a beautiful summer late afternoon last week (Aug. 20), St. Mary’s Anglican Church hosted families, friends and neighbours at their Annual Old-Time Corn Roast.

NAVAN – Each year the Ottawa Carleton Plowmen’s Association (OCPA) kicks off its annual two-day plowing match with the VIP Plowing Competition.

CARP – St. Paul’s United Church’s second annual book fair shows paper is as popular as ever, with hundreds of book lovers dropping by for a great deal on a good book in the first weekend of the sale.

CONSTANCE BAY – Saturday (Aug. 9) was stinking hot in the Bay, but very little stops the Constance Bay volunteer firefighters of Ottawa Fire Station (OFS) 63 from completing their task.

CARP – Last Wednesday (Aug. 6), the Carp Agricultural Society (CAS) hosted a very special benefit Carp Fair Drive-In Bingo for a very special member of the Carp Fair family.
