GALETTA – It is Galetta’s biggest annual event (the biggest single event in Galetta this year was last summer’s 150th birthday) and it takes a team of volunteers to pull it off.

CONSTANCE BAY – After almost two weeks of beautiful weather, Mother Nature said no to Saturday, Oct. 7 but the Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA) pivoted and just brought the Fall Festival indoors for the day.

CARP – It wasn’t a great day for a walk, but the Carp Heritage Walk volunteers promoting the self-guided historical tour of the community were busy anyway, chatting to curious visitors about the village’s new feature from their booth at the Carp Farmers’ Market on a rainy Saturday (Oct. 7).

CARP – West Carleton’s first National Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony attracted more than 130 people for an emotional event shining the light on the challenges Indigenous people still face as residential school survivors.

CARP – West Carleton’s biggest celebration wrapped up last Sunday (Sept. 24) with beautiful weather bringing out record crowds, and 2023 President of Homecraft Kathy McCord says it was a perfect weekend to celebrate the 160th Carp Fair.

CARP – While the midway roared and the demolition derby smashed on opening night of the Carp Fair, West Carleton’s biggest party’s organizers were in the Argue Show Pavilion celebrating the start of the 160th Carp Fair with the friends that help make it all happen.

CORKERY – A tour of the Burnt Lands Alvar by foot and by air Sunday (Sept. 17) afternoon provided more than 54 visitors a unique view of a rare ecosystem at threat from human pressures.

CARP – It was a meal fit for a king, harvested right in Carp’s backyard.
