CONSTANCE BAY – The reputation of the Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association’s (CBBCA) Easter Day in the Bay is starting to precede it, as even families from beyond West Carleton made sure to make the trip to the hoppingest Easter Pary around.

CARP – The upcoming spring season is super for flowers. Unfortunately, around here it’s becoming pretty super for ticks as well.

CONSTANCE BAY – The small group of attendees at last Sunday’s (April 6) Constance and Buckham’s Bay Community Association (CBBCA) annual general meeting heard finances are in great shape but the board could use a little more manpower.

CITY HALL – To hear the members of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs committee (ARAc) talk yesterday (April 3), it sounded like they had lots of misgivings about the project and sympathy for the neighbours but will recommend a rezoning to council allowing Thomas Cavanagh Construction to expand its quarry operation in the Corkery area.

CORKERY – Spark the Night in Corkery as West Carleton marks World Parkinson’s Day.

CARP – Last week (Mar. 27), the Friends of the Carp Hills (FCH) spent an evening looking in the rearview mirror. 

WEST CARLETON – A wild winter storm that started with a blanket of snow last night (March 28) and is expected to continue with freezing rain today (March 29) has already created headaches for motorists here and across eastern Ontario.

CONSTANCE BAY – Last week (Mar. 20) West Carleton Online joined Ward 5 Coun. Clarke Kelly and staffer Lisa McGee for a door knocking outing on the back streets of Constance Bay.
