KINBURN –Last Monday evening (June 17) on one of the hottest days of the summer residents showed up at the Kinburn Community Centre in droves but it wasn’t for the air conditioning.

CARP ROAD CORRIDOR – Sunny skies and fresh strawberries greeted a great group of visitors to Saturday’s (June 15) Huntley Township Historical Society (HTHS) Strawberry Social and Open House.

DUNROBIN – Last Saturday (June 8), Kanata-Carleton MPP Karen McCrimmon met with the sailors at the Kanata Sailing Club (KSC) to hear more about the $37,900 Capital grant received from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) that was used to purchase a T- shaped floating dock.

KINBURN – The board and volunteers of the West Carleton Food Access Centre (WCFAC) gathered in Roly Armitage Hall last Thursday (June 6) for the organization’s annual general meeting which highlighted the organization’s stability even as demand in the community continues to grow.

WEST CARLETON – In one weekend two different fire halls in West Carleton hosted two different breakfasts on two different days. It was one big win for those in the business of covering community events.

KINBURN – After roughly a month of games to challenge the mind, body and spirit, the West Carleton Senior Games wrapped up with a luncheon, entertainment and ribbons.

MANION CORNERS – Organizers, board members, dignitaries and politicians gathered Saturday (June 1) morning to put shovels in the ground and ceremoniously kick-off the start of the brand new Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre (OVWBCC).

CONSTANCE BAY – A crude fence erected on private property on a Constance Bay beach with public access near Lane Street has upset most of the community, but will not be disappearing any time soon.

CARP –The Carp Hills otherwise known as the Carp Ridge first emerged as an island in the Champlain Sea thousands of years ago.

KINBURN – The popular and long running Bethel-St. Andrew Fashion Show brought in a fresh look for 2024, a new style house with a new set of spring fashions.
