CITY HALL – Coun. Eli El-Chantiry had council approve a motion today (Oct. 5) that will force members of council to publicly identify relationships with City of Ottawa staff in what might be his last act at the city’s council table.

KINBURN – A small group of roughly 20 community volunteers came together Wednesday, Sept. 28 for an open-ended conversation led by the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC).

CITY HALL – Woodlawn’s Ken Holmes, representing a volunteer group collectively referred to as Rural Transportation Solution (RTS), updated the city’s Agriculture and Rural Affairs committee (ARAc) Sept. 29 on the organization’s progress and came out feeling positive.

CARP – The Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre launched its $4 million Village of HOPE fundraising campaign today (Sept. 26).

CONSTANCE BAY – The official return of the Constance Bay Community Market (CBCM) on Saturday, Sept. 17 took immediate advantage of its new space’s flexibility.

CONSTANCE BAY – The rain fell hard during Sunday’s (Sept. 18) Terry Fox Run in Constance Bay, but so did the donations, bringing in unofficially a little more than $8,000 in its 12th year.

CARP – While the Carp Fitness Park (198 Langstaff Dr.) has been open to users looking to get a fun, outdoor workout in since 2020, the organization that made it possible hosted its official opening just last Saturday (Sept. 10).

KINBURN – The Kinburn Community Centre is now a work of art.

CONSTANCE BAY – The recently held Bay Day (Aug. 20) was a community success and organizers can’t wait to return the S to the end of it in the near future.

CARP – The residents of Meadowridge Circle shut down roads Saturday (Aug. 26) and were partying in the streets, celebrating community, and raising funds for Huntington’s disease.
