CONSTANCE BAY – There wasn’t enough snow to tour very far, but the 17th annual Legion Old Sled Run has always been more about seeing the ancient snowmobiles up close, and then talking about them, anyway.

CONSTANCE BAY – Winter was the guest star of Family Day weekend and Constance Bay was hopping as several winter-only events made the riverside community the place to be, including the return of the Northern Offroad Girls Charity Ice Fishing Derby celebrating its third year.

DUNROBIN – The West Carleton Fibre Guild has been creating practical art for 35 years and the group of weavers, spinners and knitters still love the camaraderie of getting together once a month sharing stories, tips and companionship talking about what they love to do and make.

FITZROY HARBOUR – Much like the Carp Winter Carnival held the same weekend, The Fitzroy Harbour Winter Carnival had to deal with a lack of ice, but that was more than made up with high spirits.

CONSTANCE BAY – City staff are in the very early stages of designing a roundabout, the preferred plan to replace the troubled intersection at Constance Bay and Dunrobin roads.

CARP – Roughly 15 people attended Saturday’s (Feb. 3) Carp Health Access (CHA) Mental Health Symposium, focusing on the challenges of mental health in a rural setting.
