KINBURN – The popular and long running Bethel-St. Andrew Fashion Show brought in a fresh look for 2024, a new style house with a new set of spring fashions.

DUNROBIN – The weather prognosticators called for rain, but on Saturday (May 5) the sailing gods delivered sun for a perfect day on the Ottawa River and the Kanata Sailing Club (KSC) Open House.

DUNROBIN – The St. Mary’s Anglican Church’s Royal Tea Sunday (May 5) brought out spring hats, fascinators, finger sandwiches, the good china and a great time for the sold out event in the church’s hall.

KANATA – It was the best attended Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) floodplain map open house the organization has ever held, but at least one West Carleton farmer was not pleased with the timing or the location of the event.

CONSTANCE BAY – A quickly erected fence on an Ottawa River beach has polarized a community that says its not legal and not the welcome the Constance Bay community gives to its visitors.

CARP – As it turned out, the hill above the Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum was the perfect West Carleton location to use line-of-site microwave communications to reach like-minded people in the Toronto area.

KANATA – The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) is hosting a May 2 open house as the organization continues to update its Carp River floodplain maps.

DUNROBIN – Dunrobin’s Adele and Leo Muldoon are doing well following a grass fire March 25 spread to their large garage and also destroyed a food truck parked beside the garage.
