CARP – City of Ottawa staff found a leak in a watermain leaving the Carp well station today (June 27), and Coun. Clarke Kelly is asking residents to limit their use until the pipe is repaired.
City staff informed Kelly about the leak at roughly 6:35 p.m. Kelly shared that information not long after.
“This afternoon (June 27), the city identified a leak on the pipe leaving our Carp well station,” staff told Kelly. “To facilitate the watermain repair, residents and businesses connecte to a watermain in the Village of Carp are being asked to please limit their consumption of water to only, drinking, food preparation and personal hygiene activities from June 27 at 10 p.m. until June 28 at 6 a.m. We thank you for your understanding.”
Staff expect the watermain will be repaired overnight.
