By Jake Davies - West Carleton Online
CARP – Get your market shopping done this weekend and your COVID-19 vaccination all in one spot at the Carp Agricultural Hall.
Ottawa Public Health (OPH) will operate a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the hall starting Friday (Sept. 3) from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturday (Sept. 4) during the Carp Farmers’ Market from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
First and second doses will be available.
“Each person who receives their COVID-19 vaccine brings us one step closer to community immunity,” Coun. Eli El-Chantiry released in a statement today (Sept. 1). “The millions of people in Canada who have received the vaccine are protecting themselves and those around them. Getting your safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada reduces your chances of becoming seriously ill, being hospitalized, and/or dying from COVID-19. It’s normal to have questions or concerns about vaccines. You care about your health and as health professionals we are there to take care of our community.”
Everyone born in 2009 or earlier is currently eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
No appointments are necessary for the clinic.
