Carp Fair Jan. 22 AGM looks back at big year

CARP – Last fall the Carp Agricultural Society (CAS) hosted its annual party the Carp Fair. On Thursday, Jan. 22, the CAS board will look back at the fair and a busy year in general at its annual general meeting.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with registration and the meeting starting an hour after that.
“All are welcome to attend,” the CAS released in a statement. “Only members who have been in good standing for the previous two calendar years and who have paid their membership for the current year may vote at the AGM. New members welcome.”
Along with the usual discussion of last year’s financials and this year’s budget, the AGM will include committee reports from each Carp Fair committee as well as the passing of the torch from last year’s presidents, introducing this year’s presidents.
2024 President of Agriculture Kyle Rivington and President of Homecraft Faye Potter will have the opportunity to wrap up their year in the position.
The AGM will be held at the Carp Agricultural Hall (3790 Carp Rd.)
