WEST CARLETON – As tradition dictates, West Carleton fire stations will be spooky places to visit on All Hallows’ Eve.

While even weathermen are calling for potential rain tomorrow (Oct. 31) evening, there is still fun to be had with volunteer firefighters on Hallowe’en.

At Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) Station 84 in Corkery (3449 Old Almonte Rd.) drop by between 6 and 8 p.m. for Station 84’s Hallowe’en Spooktacular, featuring a Hallowe’en-themed walkthrough.

“With more rain in the forecast than all of this summer, the crew at Station 84 is switching things up this Hallowe’en,” volunteer firefighter Dave Lipson released in a statement today (Oct. 30). “Instead of making the rounds in the firetruck, we’re inviting families to join us at the fire hall for a Hallowe’en-themed walkthrough.

Come by between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Hallowe’en night for:

  • Spooky fun
  • Candy for the kids
  • And Halloween music to keep things festive

“Put on your costumes and swing by Station 84 for the walkthrough — it’s going to be a spooktacular time,” Lipson said.

In Carp, the Huntley Volunteer Firefighter Association will be hosting its annual Haunted Fire Hall at OFS Station 64 (475 Donald B. Munro Dr.

“All ghouls, goblins, ghosts and monsters are invited to the annual firefighters Haunted house at the Carp fire station,” OFS Station 64 volunteer firefighter Derrick Burns released in a statement Oct. 29. “Frights start at 6 p.m.”

The long-running event sees the volunteer firefighters of Station 64 turning the fire hall in to a fun and spooky stop for Carp-area trick or treaters to visit on Hallowe’en.
