CARP – Following a strong turnout at Ward 5 Coun. Clarke Kelly’s Constance Bay Town Hall held last spring (May 28), Kelly’s office has announced the date for a Carp Town Hall.
“On the heels of our very successful Constance Bay Town Hall in May, we’ve now scheduled the date for our Town Hall Public Meeting in Carp,” Kelly released in a statement July 11. “It’s set for Nov. 4, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Carp Agricultural Hall (3790 Carp Rd.). More details coming soon.”
For the Constance Bay Town Hall, Kelly’s office first released a survey, as well as Coun. Kelly going door-to-door, to get an idea of what the community’s top issues are. When that information was collated, Kelly organized the town hall meeting which featured many of the city’s top staff in a variety of departments.
“My goal tonight is to gather additional feedback from residents who came out here tonight,” Kelly said at the May 28 meeting. “Explore some options in terms of infrastructure and policy changes and to try my very hardest to provide clarity on some of the most important topics, all with the main goal of increasing the quality of life for all residents. Today we will address the top issues specifically, and I will also address the top issues for which there are not presentations today. What you will get from me tonight and from staff, is the most informed, honest answers and explanations we can provide from the perspective of the city.”
Kelly and staff also took questions from the floor.
