Roger Thomas of the Huntley Township Historical Society is going to be talking about the very early days of West Carleton Township from the time of the very first Indigenous Peoples and the early settlers.

He will talk about the geography of the area as well as the roads and mining and the events within the township as they related and relate to what was happening in the world in general.

Roger is a noted geologist and keen historian and is also the editor of the Huntley Township Historical Society’s newsletter.
