Hugo Schonberg

Hugo Schonberg,

Surrounded by his family Hugo Schonberg passed peacefully early Saturday December 10th, 2022.  Born May 1940 in Copenhagen, Denmark Hugo came to Canada with his family in 1956 at the age of 16 where he built a life of love and laughter.  Predeceased by his parents Kai and Valborg, brother Max and sister Lizzi.  Survived by his brothers  Axel, Willy, Finn and Leif.  Loving husband to Marion for over 50 years, Hugo is survived by his daughter Roxanna (Mike) sons Tim (Nathalie) James (Lara). Granddad to Jessica, Alyssa, Liam, Cassie and Cameron.  Great Granddad to Charleigh.

A retired Accountant, Hugo was General Manager for a Steel Manufacturer in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Hugo will be forever missed by his family and all who knew him.

If anyone wishes to make a donation to the Unniversity of Ottawa Heart Institute in Hugo’s honour, it would be gratefully acknowledged. 

 At Hugo’s request no service will be held.  There will be a celebration of life at the home of Marion and Hugo in the spring, an open house May 31st, 2023 in Carp for all who wish to attend.
