CARP – The West Carleton Family Health Team (WCFHT) has a limited number of COVID-19 vaccinations left and is accepting scheduled appointments for a clinic to be held May 13.
The WCFHT has been leading the charge in vaccinating West Carleton residents against COVID-19. The WCFHT recently held four days of outdoor, drive-through vaccination clinics spread out over a couple of weeks and as of May 4, have vaccinated more than 1,400 individuals.
“We feel obligated, as healthcare professionals, to get as many people inoculated as possible,” WCFHT registered nurse Julie Bradford told West Carleton Online April 24. “To help build up that herd immunity.”
The WCFHT has held drive-through clinics in their parking lot on April 17, 19, 24 and on May 5. All of those appointments were invitation only. For the first time, WCFHT patients can now book an appointment for the AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine.
“COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Thursday, May 13 at the Medical Centre by appointment only for individuals 40 years or older (born 1981 or earlier),” the WCFHT released in a statement today (May 11). “Patients, please call us at 613-839-3271 to schedule an appointment. We have a limited number of appointments offering the AstraZeneca vaccine.”
