Both weekend tournaments enjoyed glorious weather and the Twisted Pines golf course was never in better shape this late in the season, making the rough thick and lush and the greens rolling fast and true.

Once again, Maureen Dunnigan was the Madawaska Ladies Club Champion winning her 26th championship.

The one-woman dynasty, cruised to an easy victory winning by 19 strokes with a two-day total of 170 in A Class.

“All I can say it was a great day, great course conditions, great company, but not so great scores,” Dunnigan released in a statement following the tournament. “But do we have fun? Yes, as always. I would like to add supper was delicious, thanks to Crystal and her staff.”

Marilyn Everett came second with a two-day score of 189. Melissa Lee won B Class with a score of 196, Norma Grainger won C Class with a score of 213, and Laura Amisson was first in D Class with a score of 234.

Dunnigan was also the low net winner with a two-day total of 152. Low net was much closer with Jean Dick coming second with a two-day score of 155.

Kinburn native Curtis Proulx became a three-time Madawaska Men’s Club champion following a five under Day 2 (Sept. 7) round for a two-day total of 135. Proulx was tied with multi-club championship winner Perry Freda after Day 1 (Sept. 6) but was untouchable Sunday. Freda came second with a two-day score of 139.

Proulx’s Day 2 65 was one stroke off his career best 64 on Twisted Pines.

Brian Wallace had to pass three players on Day 2 to win the B Class championship and did so with a 76 for a two-day score of 161. Ryan Rivard shot a career best 85 on Day 1 to end up winning C Class with a two-day score of 195.

Brent Mosley needed two extra holes to win D Class over Paul Watters with a two-day score of 198.

Proulx was also the low net winner for 2026 at 133.
