SUMMARY:Ward 5 Water Rate Review Consultation
DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your interest in the City of Ottawa Water Rate Structure Review. Along with our survey we will  be hosting public consultation events in rural wards to provide more information on the review and gather your input. Staff are consulting on the development of a rate structure that considers impervious space as the basis for calculating stormwater fees. Staff are consulting with the public to gain feedback on this change and its implementation. A robust consultation plan across the city will continue into fall 2024. All feedback received will be reviewed and consolidated to inform the development of water rate structure options\, which will be presented to the Environment and Climate Change Committee for consideration in 2025. \nAt each event\, there will be a brief presentation followed by a session for residents to provide opinions and feedback. Anyone interested in speaking is encouraged to sign up through the registration form. A time limit of 5 minutes will be placed on all speakers to ensure fairness for everyone.
