DESCRIPTION:Rural Root Theatre Company will be performing:\n“The Great Kooshog Lake Hollis McCauley Fishing Derby” by Norm Foster\nand directed by Helen and Martin Weeden\n \nAt the NorthWind Wireless Fibre Centre\, Constance Bay\nSunday\, November 7th\, 2 p.m. matinee\nNovember 9-13\,  7.30 p.m. evening performances\n \nWhat better way to start off a renewed theatre season but with a comedy?\nThe play is “a fish out of water tale” centering around James\, a naive\, business techie who thinks he is really going places in his career.   Due to car problems (on his way to a big conference where he is scheduled as a guest speaker)\, he finds himself stranded and frustrated for the weekend in the small town of Lake Kooshog during their annual fishing derby.  While stuck there four other “locals” have a good time at his expense.\n\n \n\nAll Covid 19 protocols will be in place for the performance\nEveryone attending must have proof of double vaccination\nEveryone will be required to wear a mask\nThere will be no walk ins allowed\n\n \nBox office opens October 1\, 2021\nTicketsPlease.ca or call 613-485-6434\n

DESCRIPTION:On November 12-14 the Huntley Community Association is once again providing Carp residents an environmentally convenient way to recycle metal waste.\nTwo bins will be located across from the outdoor rink at the Carp Fairgrounds.\nAll types of metal will be accepted including insulated wiring and appliances that do not contain Freon or flammable liquids.\nE-waste will be accepted but we ask that it be put separately in the smaller bin.\nAn HCA volunteer will be onsite from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday November 13 for those residents who may need assistance placing their recyclable metal in the bin.\nThank you to Metro Scrap Metal for again supplying storage bins at no cost.\nWhat about Larger Items?\nThe HCA will again be offering to pick-up large/heavy metal goods (i.e. appliances) from Carp residents on Sunday\, November 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.\nPlease contact the HCA at recycle@hca-carp.ca by Thursday\, November 11 so they can add your request to their pick-up schedule.\nPlease note: pick up of large items will be limited to items that are placed at the curbside only. Volunteers are not able to enter a residence.\n
