SUMMARY:Friends of the Carp Hills Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:After three years of streaming on Zoom due to Covid-19\, Friends of the Carp Hills’ Annual General Meeting (AGM) returns as an in-person event at the Carp Memorial Hall. \nAt the AGM members will review and vote on the 2022 financial statements\, 2023 budget\, and board directors up for election.  We will also brief on our 2022 activities and plans for 2023.  Our guest speaker will follow at approximately 8:00 pm. \nThe community is welcome to attend the AGM\, but only members of record can vote.  Non-members are asked to pay $10 to support conservation and trail work. \nThe guest speaker is Mike Nash.   Mike will speak about the organisms he’s found in Carp Hills ponds that he surveyed last summer using Environmental DNA (eDNA) technology.  This work follows from his 2021 pilot project\, Casting a Net For DNA\, that he presented in FCH’s 2022 webinar series.  It’s available for viewing on the FCH YouTube channel. \n
