DESCRIPTION:Brookfield Renewable Power Inc.\, will be advancing the Fitzroy BESS Project through Evolugen\, Brookfield’s Canadian operating business. \nThe project directly responds to the Independent Electricity System Operator’s (IESO) call for additional capacity to meet Ontario’s growing electricity consumption. The project represents a cost-effective solution to add capacity\, enhance flexible grid operations\, and save greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Ontario by reducing the need for carbon-intensive power plants during times of peak demand. \nThe company will host an open house on Wednesday\, Nov. 1 at the Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre (100 Clifford Campbell Rd.) from 4 to 7 p.m. \nThe company will host a Zoom webinar the following day (Nov. 2) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. You can register for the Zoom meeting by clicking here.
